Tony had his vaccines, teeth and Coggins done in February 2026.
Tony is very easy going, not spooky. He LOVES trails! He is more woah than go. Loves to walk/trot and would prefer not to canter. You do have to work a bit to keep him in the canter but he knows and gets both his leads. Can canter circles and stays balanced just fine he just has no desire to go fast. He rides easy on a loose rein.
Tony will play games and tolerate loud kids doing kid things. He will drag objects, cross bridges, creeks, up/down hills, open gates, trot over logs/poles, carry a flag, bareback, etc. He stands tied, ground ties, loads, easy to lead, great with his feet, all the things a good horse should do. Rides well in a snaffle or curb. He has a really solid stop off of seat and voice! He will line up to the mounting block. He knows and understands leg aids and will pivot, neck rein, etc. He was trained to smile and is an absolute joy to be around. Very in-your-pocket horse who loves attention. A barn favorite and such a cutie.
Tony was previously used as a leadline horse and had a late start to working undersaddle which means he hasn't been worked hard and has a long riding life ahead of him. He loves kids and is very patient.
Well suited for a confident beginner or above. He does have a marching walk and could be a little intimidating to a small / young beginner but is safe. He would be fine with supervision for any rider. He has never offered to do anything out of line at all. The couple times he had minor spooks, they were spook-in-place (stop / hesitate / flinch) but no big reactions at all.
Ride him English or Western, he looks cute in both!
